These prep schools have about an 80% acceptance rate into the Service Academies! If your high school student is applying to a Service Academy and doesn’t get accepted, that’s not the end of the road! There is still a chance that your student will be offered a prep school appointment!
How much do you get paid at Usafa prep school?
Cadets earn approximately $1185.00 per month in basic pay. This covers the majority of school related expenses. However, most expenses are incurred within the first eight months (uniforms, computer, textbooks, etc.)
How long is Usafa prep school?

This 10-month school is designed to academically, physically and militarily prepare selected young men and women to potentially go on to the United States Air Force Academy and succeed. About 15 percent of every graduating class at the Academy started out by attending the prep school.

Under normal conditions, Cadet Candidates can earn privileges to leave base and visit with family and friends by performing academically, athletically, militarily. The scheduled pass and leave periods include Thanksgiving, winter break, and spring break.
