The Corin and Naas/Boboyan Road precincts have now reopened allowing access to popular sites, such as Gibraltar Falls, Corrin Dam, Settlers Walking Track, Square Rock and more. Why is Namadgi closed?
Bushfire recovery in Namadgi In early 2020, the Orroral Valley bushfire burnt over 80% of Namadgi National Park, or about 86,562 hectares. Because of the heavy rainfall event in late March some public roads remain closed which may restrict vehicle access in areas of the park.
Is Namadgi open during lockdown?

Yankee Hat Rock art site remains closed while we work with the Ngunnawal people to finalise upgrade plans and designs for the site. Orroral Road is closed due to flood damage, however, the Orroral Valley is open for hiking.
Are Gibraltar falls open?
The Ebor Falls visitor precinct in Guy Fawkes River National Park is open. However the park is fire-affected and facilities within Ebor Falls picnic area have also been affected. Please follow safety directions, and do not enter closed areas as it is unsafe to do so. Penalties apply for non-compliance.

To see koalas, drive back out of The Sanctuary and visit them at the Eucalyptus Forest where the expectant mothers are kept protected, or take the Koala Path (700m return) so you can see them living wild in the trees.
What is there to do in the Namadgi National Park?
A short little walk that provides a good overview of the southern end of the Namadgi National Park. The Mount Aggie walk is one of three hill walks in this area and is the shortest and easiest of the three. The walk to the ‘Belfry’ along Orroral Ridge is an easy walk to get some great views of the valley below.
Can you take firewood into Namadgi National Park?
It is illegal to take any wood from within the national park. Firewood is available for purchase at the Namadgi National Park Visitor Centre. Camping is available at Honeysuckle, Woods Reserve and Mt Clear Campgrounds. Orroral Camgpound remains closed due to access issues from recent flooding.

Are Dogs Allowed in Namadgi National Park?
Domestic Dogs. Dogs are not allowed in Namadgi National Park and are also now prohibited in the Gibraltar Forest Regeneration Area formerly known as Gibraltar Pines east of Corin Road. Dogs are permitted on leash at the Woods Reserve campsite and Blue Range Hut campsite.
