Forty students are accepted into the Intarmed Program through LU I as direct entrants. They are joined by 140 students (with a baccalaureate degree) who are accepted in LU III as lateral entrants. The UPCM has adopted an Organ System Integrated (OSI) curriculum since Academic Year 2004-2005 starting with LU III.

How do you qualify for Intarmed?

The first step to joining the INTARMED is by taking the UPCAT. This alone can be very challenging. The UPCAT is a five-hour-long test of everything you’ve learned in high school, from Filipino, English, Science, and Math! The UPCAT is notorious for its high competition and right-minus-wrong grading system.

How many years is LEAPMed?

The Learning Enhanced Accelerated Program for Medicine (LEAPMed) is a 6-year accelerated medical program that leads to a Medical Degree — in hindsight, most would say that this is the UST-equivalent of UP’s well-known INTARMed program.

Is the NMAT hard?

As compared to CAT, XAT, and other such MBA exams, NMAT is definitely easier; but it is not the easiest to crack. NMAT is essentially a time-based test, and you have to be very quick in attempting the maximum number of correct questions, if not all.

What are the admission requirements to study at up?

Weighted average of final grades obtained in high school. A total combined score of 1,200 for the verbal and mathematics subtests in the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) will also qualify an applicant for automatic admission as freshman to the University. Those who wish to study at the university take the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT).
