The easiest way to repay money is by using the Money you owe service. This is available in your Centrelink online account through myGov or the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app. If you need help to use the Money you owe service, you can use our online guides.

How do I find out if Centrelink owes me money?

You can find information about your debts using either:

  1. your Centrelink online account through myGov.
  2. the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app.

How do I access my Centrelink payments?

Sign in to myGov and go to Centrelink, or use the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app. We’ll also let you know the result of your claim. We’ll send an electronic letter to your myGov Inbox. If you don’t get electronic letters, we’ll send you a letter in the mail.

How long does it take for Centrelink payment to go through?

If you don’t have a waiting period, you’ll get your first payment within 2 weeks once your claim is successful. You can expect to hear from us within 42 days of submitting your claim. We’ll give you an estimated completion date when you submit your claim online.
