- Don’t bother picking up gold that isn’t where you’re going.
- Avoid as many enemies as you can, unless they’re in the way.
- Your target priority should be the miniboss.
- Rings are huge for speed.
- Tempo traps will not change the timer on the bottom left, so use this to your advantage.
What do diamonds do in crypt of the Necrodancer?
The player can buy items using Gold (dungeon shops) or Diamonds (Lobby shops). The shops within the crypt offer equipment that is lost upon death; the shops in the lobby offer permanent upgrades and unlockable items.
How do you beat the Necrodancer?
Upon removing all but one heart, the Necrodancer will spawn rows of skeletons behind himself and gain an impenetrable shield, and the uppermost few rows of the stage will be turned into lava. You must destroy the skeletons behind the Necrodancer and push the Necrodancer into the lava to kill him.
Is crypt of the Necrodancer hard?
On normal difficulty, Necrodancer requires you to move to the beat while exploring dungeons filled with monsters that also move to the same beat. It’s pretty challenging, and if you hesitate you’ll lose your score or worse. Coda takes things to a whole other level.
Does crypt of the Necrodancer have a story?
Story Mode Basically three All Zones Mode runs back-to-back. The first run uses Cadence, the second uses Melody, and the third uses Aria. Dying means you need to start back from the beginning with Cadence.

Skipping beats by digging is essential to draw enemies into your range, so staying close to dirt walls is your best option. Having a decent shovel will help out greatly, as you can dig up most walls and skip beats that way.
How do you beat the Red Dragon in crypt of the NecroDancer?
Strategy
- When the dragon begins charging its fire attack, prepare to immediately move upwards by one square.
- Move up on the exact same beat as the attack.
- Move above the dragon on the next beat (either right or left depending on what side of the dragon’s the player is on).
Is cadence of Hyrule difficult?
Cadence of Hyrule is easier than Crypt of the NecroDancer, but it is not without challenge. Fighting enemies while tapping to the beat can be bothersome, but there is a solution: Fixed Beat Mode. Basically, it turns off the need to step to the rhythm and enemies no longer move on their own.
