How to upgrade firmware on Seagate hard disk drive?
At the menu, choose option ‘S’ to Scan for your hard disk drive. Make note of the Drive Model and Firmware (FW) revision. If the Drive Model is either ST3500820AS or ST31000340AS, and the Firmware revision is LV12 or below, then choose the option from the main menu to upgrade the firmware on your model of Seagate hard drive.
