All Shimano and SRAM cassettes up to 10 speed are broadly compatible. They all use Shimano’s Hyperglide II freehub body spline pattern. Cassettes with the same number of sprockets have the same sprocket spacing, sprocket width and overall width.

Can I put any 10 speed cassette on my bike?

The overall cassette width and individual sprocket widths and spacings are standardized for each number of speeds. (This does not mean you can use any 10 size speed cassette in a drivetrain of course, as the derailleur has to be able to handle the cassette sprocket size range.)

Can I use Ultegra cassette with Dura Ace?

As a result, the chains and cassettes from the two brands have always been completely interchangeable for any given type of transmission (e.g. 11-speed). Thus, an Ultegra (6800/8000) 11-speed chain can be used with a Dura-Ace (9000/9100) 11-speed cassette.

Can I use a Shimano cassette with Campagnolo?

Yes. Campagnolo wheels are compatible with both Shimano and SRAM components. In order to use Campagnolo wheels with any drivetrain on the market, Campagnolo produces two kinds of freewheel bodies: one specific for Campagnolo drivetrains (from 9 to 11 speeds) and one for non-Campagnolo drivetrains (from 9 to 11 speeds).

Can I upgrade my bike cassette?

Are 9 and 10 speed cassettes interchangeable?

9- and 10-speed cassettes will both fit on the same wheel. The splines are the same for each. If you run your 10-speed shifters in friction mode (not possible if you’re using STI “brifters” , then you can use either cassette on that system.

Are 9 and 10 speed cassettes the same width?

In other words, Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo 11-speed cassettes work just fine on each others’ drivetrains. So, one way to use an old 10-speed wheel with an 11-speed drivetrain is to install a Campagnolo freehub body and Campagnolo 11-speed cassette on it.

Will Ultegra work with a Dura-Ace 11-speed shifter and cassette?
